Jonathan Gil is a dedicated consumer attorney with a rich background in business, law, and public service. Born and raised in Chicago, IL, Jonathan's journey in law and advocacy began at Indiana University, where he graduated in 2014 with dual majors in Business Economics and Public Policy (BEPP) and Legal Studies. His early career saw him gaining valuable experience in the manufacturing and logistics sectors as a production supervisor and an analyst.
In 2018, Jonathan's path took a pivotal turn when he relocated to California, embarking on a legal career that culminated in his graduation cum laude from the University of San Diego School of Law in 2022. His time at law school was distinguished by his commitment to pro bono work, earning him Pro Bono Recognition with High Distinction. Jonathan's passion for helping those in need was evident in his volunteer work with Rock Steady Boxing, a program offering boxing training to individuals with Parkinson's Disease.
Jonathan's legal acumen was further honed through internships with Disability Rights California and the San Diego County Public Defender's Office. Upon passing the California Bar, he joined the Public Defender's Office, where he worked until January 2024. His decision to transition from the Public Defender's Office to private practice reflects his deep commitment to civil advocacy and his belief in the power of legal representation to give a voice to those who have been wronged.
