Attorney Ahren Tiller is Of Counsel to Kazerouni Law Group. Mr. Tiller has successfully prosecuted many cases to trial, whereby he has obtained verdicts after trial in excess of $1 million. Ahren Tiller has worked on multiple appeals in State and Federal Court, and has orally argued matters before the California’s 4th and 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals and the Federal 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. Attorney Ahren Tiller is a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, American Bar Association, Federal Bar Association, San Diego County Bar Association, and a board member of the California Bankruptcy Forum. He was the 2017 President of the San Diego Bankruptcy Forum, and still serves as a board member on the SD BK Forum. Further, he was a committee member on the Southern District Bankruptcy Court’s Chapter 13 Rights and Responsibilities Committee, and participated in the Judge’s committee to draft the new Southern District form Chapter 13 plan. He has completed over 200 hours of continuing legal education in the field of bankruptcy law, and has attended multiple conventions and seminars covering multiple areas of bankruptcy law.

Ahren Tiller focuses a significant portion of his practice on Consumer Protection litigation. He is currently a lead attorney on multiple class action lawsuits filed on behalf of a class of consumers. He has successfully litigated multiple actions in federal district court under the Fair Debt Collections Practices act, Telephone Consumer Protection Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and California’s Unfair Competition Laws. He has personally orally argued matters before the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, and the 4th and 2nd California Circuit Courts of Appeal. Mr. Tiller has successfully won appeals at the Ninth Circuit, including published decisions involving important issues regarding the interplay between the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA – 15 U.S.C. § 1692, et. seq.) and the Bankruptcy Code and/or Arbitration and consumer protection statutes. See said published decisions: Manikan v. Peters & Freedman, L.L.P. (9th Cir. 2020) 981 F.3d 712; Delisle v. Speedy Cash (9th Cir. 2020) 818 F.App'x 608; and Barclay v. Boskoski, 52 F.4th 1172 (9th Cir. 2022).

Further, Attorney Ahren Tiller is one of only six (6) attorneys in the State of California who are tripled-certified as a Business Bankruptcy Law Specialist, Consumer Bankruptcy Law Specialist and a State Bar of California Bankruptcy Law Specialist.
